A: 28 Crore

Q2. How many in above are eligible for subsidised cylinder?

A: 26 Crore ( as their income < 10 lakh p.a.). Till last year govt had to give Rs 24,000 Crore subsidy on LPG. But falling inte'l prices have turned it upside down, govt is earning back ! Its like petrol now; govt earns out of it.

Q3. How can we say Indian kitchen has progressed?

A: LPG consumption has doubled from 2010 to 26 mT today, whereas kerosene consumption has reduced four times to 2.4 mT. Till last year govt had to give Rs 24,000 Crore subsidy on LPG.

  • Ostan Kimo, television tower in Moscow envisaged to be the world’s tallest building.


  • Qutb minar, a 721/2 metre high stone tower in Delhi, the highest in India, said to have been build in 1199 A.D by Qutb-ud-din Aibak as victory tower but it is disputed by many scholars who claim it to have been build by a Gupta Emperor as an observatory.


  • Sanchi stupa, one of the earliest stupas of India, near Bhopal in Sanchi, 17 metre in height and 361/2 metre in diameter, hemispherical in shape and made of bricks and sandstone.
