Guess the city...

Clues:-
  • This city is in Chile, which was given to Spain ( being left of Brazil- which was given to Portuguese) in 1494.
  • This city was found by Pedro de Valdivia in 1541 when he trekked across Andes, but conflict with Indians continued.
  • Declared independence in 1818 after war with Spain and had a coup in 1973.
  • Palacio De La Moneda is the famous building and seat of govt.
  • Two of its citizens ( Gabriela Mistral and Pablo Neruda ) won Nobel for literature.

  • Overlooking River Danube , this city of Slovakia got a fortress built on Castle Hill.
  • After Budapest fell to Turks in 1536, it became capital of Hungary.
  • Germans and Hungarians were expelled by Slavs after World War -II.
  • Urban apartments here are called "Petrzalka".
