Clues:-
  • In 1534 The Sultan of Gujarat ceded the area around this city to the Portuguese.
  • In 1661 Catherine of Braganza married Charles II of England who received this city as part
  • of the dowry.
  • In 1853 First train in India ran from this city to Thana . (a distance of 21 miles (33km))
  • In 1915 Mahatma Gandhi landed here arriving from South Africa.
  • Mad for Bollywood, this city has many Victorian and Moorish buildings built around 1880 such as VT, BMC and Churchgate.

Ans:- This is the city of MUMBAI

  • In 1970 this city hosted the first World’s Fair to be held in an Asian country.
  • In 1994 The futuristic Kansei International Airport opened here .
  • World's largest aquarium and the rebuilt ( 1931) castle ( original 1583) of granite stone is the famous landmark of this city thats also known as the Water Capital of Japan.
